Queanbeyan Golf Club (QGC)  is a progressive golf club having recently hosted the Ladies European Tour event the NSW Women’s Open and is well known for having the best greens in the region. In addition we have the 2020 Australian Boys Interstate championships to be conducted in April next year.

With these events we are very interested in building our Greens staff capability and team. Currently we have a number of opportunities for Sports Turf Management students wishing to pursue opportunities to become a green keeper at our club.

Reporting to the Course Superintendent, they would be involved in all aspects of turf maintenance required for the upkeep of the golf course. The diversity in playing surfaces at the Club offers unique development opportunities for ambitious sports turf management professionals. The QGC takes great pride in presenting quality playing surfaces and accordingly sets high standards for staff in all aspects of their role. New starters would be supported by an experienced leadership team and a highly competent group of turfcare professionals.

Those people with a strong work ethic and team orientation, who are looking to learn, and have a passion for presenting surfaces of the highest quality, will excel in the Club’s environment.

If you are interested please contact QGC CEO Tony Treeve for information re the opportunity.
