Help with Food Insecurity

CITSA can help students to find support with food insecurity while studying.

    • Referrals to the Food Relief Network (https://www.volunteeringact.org.au/food-relief-network/). The Canberra Food Relief Network is a collection of food pantries, food co-ops and other relevant services that help residents within the Canberra region struggling with access to food and groceries. These pantries are run by community organisations, groups, and dedicated individuals across the ACT, with the support of Volunteering ACT.
    • Our canteens offer low-cost lunch options with $5 meals and 50% off pre-packaged hot meals at the counter (while stocks last).
    • If you have forgotten your lunch for the day, come see us in the Bookstores at Reid and Bruce to grab a free cup of noodles and a fork. There are many places to get boiling water on campus, just ask us where they are located.
    • We run many free food events on campus throughout the year. Almost all our on campus events are accompanied by a free bbq or other free food! Please check out events page for more information.
