WWDACT is looking for a part-time Consultant in Canberra to organize an exhibition of women leaders with disabilities in the ACT. The position is to start immediately. Experience in arranging events or exhibitions, and some IT savvy is desired. Preference will be given to women with disabilities with appropriate qualifications (or working towards qualifications in event management, media or a related field). Seven ACT women leaders with disabilities have been selected, and their work and life history is being recorded and lodged with the National Library in its Australian Women’s Archives Register. The Exhibition of women leaders with disabilities will consist of 1 x poster sized photograph of each woman, 1 x poster sized display board with 150-word highlights from the woman’s history (in large font) for each of the women. It is also intended to have an audio loop or a video loop of the women in conversation playing at the exhibition. There will be a launch ceremony and publicity prior using different forms of media and print to the event. The timing of the exhibition will be dependent on when an exhibition space is available and in liaison with WWDACT Chair and CEO.

WWDACT is a systemic advocacy and peer support organisation run by women with disabilities for women with disabilities. It works with government and non-government organisations to improve the status and lives of women with disabilities in the ACT and surrounding region.
