National Campus Band Comp 2011 ACT Final saw eight Canberra tertiary bands battle it out to be ACT representatives at the National Final. University of Canberra band ‘Sidney Creswick’ were victorious in what the Judges described as one of the closest competitions to date.
Hosted by CITSA, there was a good turnout of punters. The CIT Music Industry Centre put on a great night of live music. CIT students and staff did an awesome job with the production and all aspects of sound and video.
Sidney Creswick walked away with a cheque for $1,000 courtesy of Directions ACT and a further $500 from the Australian Association of Campus Activities and a travel subsidy to compete at the National Final in Melbourne on the 19th October.
